The Internal Progress at Caistor
As we mentioned at the end of our last update Caistor: Farewell to 2021!, we were in the middle of having our windows, doors & screed installed.
These have now all been completed, making way for more exciting progress within The Cottage & The Lodge at Caistor!

The Internal Progress
To compliment the black aluminium windows & external doors, we will be having black painted doors with large panes of glass (for the downstairs) and solid doors for the upstairs, naturally!
You can see the doors we will be using in both homes here!
The door casings have now all been fitted to accommodate for these when they arrive towards the end of the project.
All of the internal studwork & boxing has also been completed now that the screed is set, ready for the rest of the plastering to get underway. The rooms are really starting to take shape!

To match the ground floor, our first-floor underfloor heating has been installed by our plumber. And everything has been tested with great success!

In addition to the heating, our plumber has been busy with all of the first fix plumbing, ensuring everything ‘behind the scenes’ in the bathrooms & ensuites is ready for us to get the bathroom furniture & brassware into place.
The MVHR system has also been fitted throughout the houses, with all of the ducting fitted in the walls, floors & loft spaces, ready to have the extraction vents connected. These will barely be noticeable in the ceilings but will make a huge difference to the air quality!
Our plasterers are super busy getting all the rooms boarded & skimmed. The walls are so smooth, they’re like glass. We can’t wait to get the paint choices of our clients up on these walls, making the whole experience feel so personal & inviting.

On the 21st January we had the large & exciting delivery of both kitchens & utilities for The Cottage & The Lodge. These are all boxed & protected, awaiting installation which will be underway shortly!
